Stewart Marine Design Pty. Ltd. (Cairns, Australia)
Design Naval Architect & Marine Surveyor including-

  • Ship structural design in steel, aluminium & fibreglass to ABS, USL Code, Lloyds & DNV requirements
  • Performs hull form calculations including Profile, KN, Hydrostatic Table & Tank capacities
  • Perform Inclining experiment, Rolling period test on commercial ships over 6.0m up to 35m in length for stability purposes
  • Performs Positive Flotation test (swamped test) on various ships under 6.0m in length for Queensland registration requirements
  • Lifting hull offsets from existing ships to produce a lines plan
  • Preparation of ship's general arrangement & full set of construction plans for ship building & CoC Design applications

  • Project Management of 120.0m Steel Passenger ship for the superstructure & hotel side refit
  • Performs & provide construction plans, work orders to various shipyard sub-contractors for the refit
  • Approve material specifications & audit delivery from various marine suppliers & contractors
  • Co-ordinates with building architects, interior designers, electrical engineers, shipyard engineers, classification surveyors, owner representatives & finance managers
  • Reviews, evaluate & approve drawing standard from CAD draftsmen to assure accuracy, recommend procedures & solutions to improved both quality & efficiency for the design & construction

August 2002 - Feb. 2003
SBM Marine Works Inc. (Cebu, Philippines)
Project Engineer including-

  • Design & supervision for delivery of two 15.0m Steel fishing ships
  • Performs Material inspections & Manpower scheduling
  • Prepares detailed construction drawing plans for pre-fabrications
  • Design on 15m Steel Carriage in an existing carriage slipway
  • Performs ultrasonic gauging on various steel commercial ships under 24m in length
  • Prepares drawing plans for Classification approval of the Ramp design for the 120m Passenger ship
  • Assist in inclining experiment & ship trials on the 120m Steel Passenger ship with the DNV surveyors
